Video - Young Leo Howard Kickin' It In "Conan the Barbarian 3D" – New Trailer

Sunday, July 31, 2011 0 comments
Anybody who has been watching the new Disney XD show “Kickin’ It” knows who 14-year-old Leo Howard is.

Leo, who has a black belt in karate and is a martial arts master in real life, has displayed his skills in the Disney Wasabi Dojo profiled in the show and has made “Kickin’ It” a smash hit for the network.

Now he is branching out into his first big screen action adventure movie while taking a starring role.

But in August we are going to see a side to Leo that Disney will never show you.

Howard is playing the young “Conan the Barbarian” in the August 19th release of the 3D action film starring Ron Pearlman, Jason Momoa as adult Conan, Rose McGowan - and Leo as Conan as a child.

“Conan the Barbarian 3D” tells the tale of a quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce warrior, but soon turns into an epic battle against enormous rivals, horrifying monsters, shirtless villains, and impossible odds.

Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Lionsgate has just released a new red band trailer showing Leo in his role as young Conan while taking part in an epic challenge to decide who will fight with the warriors.

It shows young Conan participating in a challenge where he has to race through the woods with and egg in his mouth, and deliver it unbroken to the final destination.

But along the way the group is ambushed by the enemy and an epic battle ensues and Leo kicks some serious butt.

There is lots of blood and gore and Leo Howard saves the group and returns to the elders with the severed heads of three bad guys – then spits the unbroken egg from his mouth!

This is the first “Conan” trailer where we really get to see Leo in action and he does impress us with both his acting ability and martial arts moves.

The kid definitely knows how to fight.

Leo is no stranger to Hollywood.

He has already had roles in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, “Shorts”, and “Logan” before snagging his role with Disney.

Howard also starred in the TV series “Zeke and Luther”, “Children of the Corn”, and “Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure”.

With a smash hit television series and now a major role in an action adventure movie we suspect Leo will be a hot property in the near future and will have directors beating down his door with job offers.

Being a teen idol seems to come naturally to the young star and he is not afraid to take the shirtless pose for teen idol magazines to keep the interest up among his young female fans.

If your kids aren’t talking about Leo Howard yet – they will be soon.

Officials Concerned Over Justin Bieber Movie Never Say Never

Saturday, February 5, 2011 0 comments
He is everywhere. In the last month, pop sensation Justin Bieber has graced every part of American media in what can only be called saturation.

He has been on Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Regis, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, MTV, Vanity Fair, People, Us Weekly, CSI, the Super Bowl, The Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Lopez Tonight, the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, Extreme Makeover, and others.

Bieber just ended his 86 show world tour before Christmas and is scheduled to pick up again in March in Europe. He wins every award he is nominated for and has merchandise ranging from posters, calendars, headphones, nail polish, dolls, and other trinkets.

His album and book sales are in the tens of millions.

So what’s there to worry about? Seems everything is going great for Bieber. That just might be the problem.

Movie theater owners around the country have been quietly ramping up for Friday’s release of Bieber’s “Never Say Never 3D”. And they are starting to panic.

They have done the math and realize they only have so many theaters, seats, and tickets – in other words, “There are only a certain number of movie goers we can move through the system in a 24 hour period.”

And that, my friends, seems to be the problem. Why? Because thousands of crazed Bieber fans are expected to swarm theaters and malls this weekend for their chance to see the megastar in 3D.

Officials fear that malls and theaters around the country will be flooded with Bieber fans and that traffic and crowd control will become a problem. There is concern that fans will grow impatient and descend into various acts of civil unrest and disobedience.

Factor in the fact that each screaming 13-year-old also has her mother with her, and… well that is an angry crowd I would try to avoid at all costs.

Officials are discussing what to do about port-a-potties, extra security, aid stations, accidents, traffic control, fire rescue, wreckers and towing, media stations, reporters, satellite trucks, and the list goes on. Some major cities are expecting weeks of problems before things start to get better.

Really? Is it possible? Could the United States be forced into weeks of anarchy and chaos just because millions of Justin Bieber fans can’t get tickets to see his movie?

All we can pray for is that we will look our fellow man in the eye, and show the compassion and constraint that have held this country together through some if its darkest times.

If CNN starts to report on mobs on angry, disobedient teens at thousands of theaters in all 50 states, and if FOX News starts comparing Bieber’s hold on his fans to the control of Hitler on Nazi Germany, if the Center for Disease Control declares Bieber Fever a pandemic, then life as we know it may have changed forever.

We may never recover. Bieber’s hold on the world may just be too great. We may just have to fall to our knees and admit…. that the kid has unbelievable talent and deserves to be a star.

Justin Bieber Shows Tattoo, Tour Bus and New Earring to Us Magazine - Photo

Saturday, January 15, 2011 0 comments
Pop sensation Justin Bieber recently appeared in a special edition of Us Magazine and really did let his fans into his world.

Bieber talked about playing sports in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, life on the road, and showed his fans the inside of his tour bus and his seagull tattoo.

But one picture stood out as he croons behind a microphone wearing an earring.

One reader told us, “It’s the first time I think I have ever seen him with an earring, and the pictures of his tour bus were cool!”

Another comment said, “I love his seagull tattoo. This is the first picture I have ever seen with him knowingly showing off his seagull tattoo.”

His tour bus looked a little sparse for an entertainer who is expected to have raked in over $100 million dollars last year, but his mother Pattie explains they are doing everything they can to help Justin adjust to everything without it going to his head.

Bieber’s “Never Say Never 3D” is due in theaters in February and then he is back on the road touring Europe in early March.

Vanity Fair just released JB’s cover shoot and interview, he just wrapped a 3 day session on the set of CSI in his recurring role, where even a small setback like a trip to the real life hospital didn’t slow him down.

The kid knows how to work it.
